Instructions
- 1
1. Wash the seedless green grapes and fresh basil leaves. Cut the ripe avocado into cubes, zest the lime, and then squeeze the juice.
- 2
2. If you prefer a colder, thicker texture, chill the glasses in the freezer for 2 minutes; if using an oven to gently soften crystallized honey, do it only at 95°F / 35°C for no more than 1 minute.
- 3
3. Add the green grapes, avocado, plain yogurt, milk, lime juice, lime zest, fresh basil, honey, and quick oats to a blender.
- 4
4. Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until smooth. Add the ice and blend again for 20 to 30 seconds more, until the smoothie is creamy and fully combined.
- 5
5. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if desired, then blend for 10 more seconds to incorporate any changes.
- 6
6. Serve immediately in 2 chilled glasses and, if you like, garnish with an extra basil leaf or a little more lime zest.
Chef tips
For an extra silky texture, freeze half of the grapes for at least 1 hour before making the smoothie. Do not add too much basil, so it does not overpower the flavor.
Substitutions
You can replace the honey with maple syrup for a honey-free version. Plain yogurt can be swapped for Greek yogurt for a thicker result, or for plant-based yogurt for a dairy-free version. Milk can be replaced with oat milk or almond milk, keeping allergens in mind.
